Default 5L jugs of Mobil 1 0W40 - nonexistent in Canada?

I searched through the Canuck forum, and couldn't find anything on locations of 5L jugs of Mobil 1 Synthetic 0W40, so I went on the hunt.... Canadian Tire, Part Source, Walmart, and Napa, who sent me to an exotics mechanic down the road at 295 Dundas E Mississauga. All of them a bust.

The Napa guy called the Canadian Mobil 1 distributor, and they let him know that they don't sell anything outside of the 1L's here.

Not sure if anyone has any opposing info. Looks like I'm stocking up on the next trip across the border.

I connected with the Quebec distributor in Joliette for Mobil 1 as i use 15w50 in my car and that is now available only in one liter bottles and he mentioned to me that the lower selling formulas like 0w40 perhaps will all be in one liter bottles as well ... go figure ...

Anyhow, i still get my 15w50 oil three dollars cheaper per liter than CDN Tire !

Cheers !
Phil

Not sure about Canadian availability. They do sell it in the US from what I have seen on the web.

I've only seen the 1L at retailers.
Do indies and dealers buy it in bulk? I have not observed them using the 1L containers, they use generic jugs to pour the oil.

0W-40? Don't know, but I do know they had other grades on each side of the 15W-50 section which was empty.

Next time I'm down, I'll check for that grade.
