My offer was 60k, there is an 02 no x50 in the US with 30k which i can have for 50k .
If it's a real quality car, 5k should not be a deal breaker for a keeper. Secondly, why do you think the guy should sell his car for less than a dealer?
I didnt care about X50 when I was looking for a 996TT because it is crazy cheap to get way more than X50 power, and if you were going to change the turbos, k24s are probably not what you would choose anyways. If youre looking for a stock car, maybe an X50 is interesting, but if you dont mind a modded car, great ones are out there. Mine came with hybrid turbos, plus a ton of other things that make it oh-so-awesome.
I think that most would say that X50 is only worth $2000, and many would say $0.

You really don't know a car is a keeper until you have had it for a while. and second if you overpay when you buy you get killed when you sell. When a person wants to sell , imho the most efficent strategy is to price at market or slightly below. Been on ebay or Autotrader lately? Same cars keep getting relisted because reserves not being met. Tells me something.
