Just picked up the 89 dollar dashcam from nextmod. I really liked it so far....it is bigger than the blackvue cam due to the LCD which really helps on aiming the lens.
mounted it on the way home and got it set to VGA mode and the video is really good. I would post it up but i did a bone head move and mounted the camera upside down. i'll be trying the HD mode (720p) later on and see how good it is at night.

It's really good....night shots are decent but a tad dark for me, but it does the job.
I just need a bigger micro SD as when i took it to the cruise, it recorded over the beginning (about 15 min. of it).

I was just at Next mod this lunch time. They had sold out. For the cruises I do have my Contour HD for continous 2-3 hr recordings. But I need something for the daily driving which is set and forget on both my main car and dual driver. Records blocks of every 5-15 mins is good enough for me.
Thanks for the feedback.

I have the Blackvue DR400G. Nice little unit, does GPS, G-Force, Parking mode (motion sensitive and Bump Sensitive) and Event marking (high G-Force marking). Sleek little unit (cant even see it behind the mirror)
This is a pic on the 401 today (downsized quite a bit, the unit is Full 1080 HD).
The Moron in the Miata had a magazine or something he was reading at 130KM (you can see it behind his steering wheel)

, no I intentionally shut off the GPS Speedo once I realized it was on you still get GPS data on the Blackvue viewer, but it took a while to find a legal(ish) post from that night to publish
