Question Garage Dehumidifier?

Haven't had much luck finding a garage dehumidifier. Regular home dehumidifiers apparently will not run down to the freezing level so they're no good. Can you recommend a model and source? Thanks.

Do you know why is your garage wet? Coming from the roof or ground?

Ground and warm outside air moving into cold garage. Roof's fine. Apparently a humidifier is the easiest and cheapest way to deal wit it.

Are the walls an ceiling insulated?

If all else fails, you can always install a window AC and turn in inwards.

This is why I recommend owners park on a thick mil plastic trap for winter hinernation.

Ronnie, how about running a space heater vs a dehumidifier to help dry the cold air? In general winter air is much dryer than summer air.

What are your current humidity readings? Above 50% r.h.?

Thanks for the ideas guys but a garage dehumidifier is by far the cheapest, most effective way to go. I had it on a plastic tarp and it didn't solve the problem. Any idea where to get a garage dehumidifier?

I'm finding myself buying more and more stuff across the border and have them sent to CBIUSA in Niagara Falls for pick up when I have a bunch of things ordered, they hold the items up to 3 months without additional charge, the cost per package is only $6 for regular size items.

I also have Nexus card so it takes little time to go back and forth the border.

The best way to get the humidity out is ventilation. I can enter in my garage with 6 inches of snow on it and it will disappear and the floor will be dry overnight. No heating. Just ventilation and engine cool down to melt the snow.

This is worth trying. Does it still dry out when it's cool and damp outside? This is when I note the humidity in my garage.
