I would take it with a grain of salt, many of these support people have no idea what the real answer is. Who knows if it even went to a real person it could have been answered by some automated response triggered by keywords.

The problem is others (notably Husky) do not do this with their products - online or at the pumps.
So, one more time...
I read (and will post once found...) the memo that states B.C. and Ontario are ethanol-free with regards to the 91 blend at Husky.

I'm not a Shell customer so I have never seen the sticker that you posted. In my opinion, that is awesome marketing and information for the customer. Clear and concise.

Other Turbo owners at my friends shop do use Shell 91 with no issues.

Still undecided myself, how does it jive with the min 93 octane requirement?

Burning Brakes
The No ethanol stickers are on the Shell pumps in Greater Vancouver also.
I started out using Shell's 91 in my '04 TT Cab but within 3 or 4 tanks starting throwing codes. I took it back to the dealer for the reset. When the technician asked what fuel and I indicated Shell 91 he immediately advised Chevron 94 is required. No codes since. Chevron is the only one in BC I can find with anything over 91.
