No, I ended up installing a sub and some other bits. I may go by Superior in Oakville tomorrow.

I just spoke with Joe. $400 plus tax. Seems a bit steep. Let me know how it goes on Thursday, if he is as good as he claims I will have him do it.

Are you using tint for the high school "cool" factor or to shield the UV rays against the leather and reduce the heat? If it's the latter, take a look at this...

I have one, and I think it's pretty "cool".

There are several reasons why I wanted the tint done:
- UV shielding is one
- I find myself getting a little bit agitated when the sun is beating through the side windows in the summer time
- A bit of security factor if I happen to have anything in the cabin while the car is parked unattended
- The cover is "cool" but that's just one more thing I have to put on and take off, not interested in that, what if it rains while the cover is on? Now I have a messy wet cover I have to store inside the car until I get home, plus what's stopping people from ripping it off? I have a fold-out sunshade which I put up inside against the windshield for that purpose.
- Finally, I (personally) think it looks more pleasing to the eyes

Finally getting arround to having my tint done, scheduled at Joes shop for Friday.
Same reasons here, I'm just getting baked, security, and not wanting my already old interior faded or cracked.
Plus I think it looks better.
Now I just need to decide what percentage to do. I'm thinking to keep the side windows the same and go darker with the hatch. That way from a profile it will still look good. And keep the heat out of the hatch area.

Just keep in mind with visibility out the rear hatch at night, I know some people say they have "no problem seeing out 15% tint at night", well there is a difference between identifying a pair of lit headlights vs. seeing pedestrians in dimly lit streets, and my eyes are nowhere close to as acute as they were in my 20's and 30's, so I went with 35% all-around.
You can certainly go darker on the rear hatch as there is no regulation in Ontario for rear tint so technically you can go opaque without breaking any law, although I find the same 35% film I have on the rear hatch of my 2005 Accord Coupe DD with a large rear hatch window does a very good job blocking out the heat along with the 35% on all the side windows.

Kudos to Joe, a few issues with a window seal, but he was eager to solve it. 27 year old seals don't like to be disturbed!
It's refreshing to get good service.
Car looks super nice, just kinda hot with my AC not working well, with the windows up.

Glad this worked out, I meant to stop by Joe's shop this morning around 10:30 to have a peek if your car is already in, but had to rush to the Hamilton Airshow practice day......
Auto Edge / Superior Window Tint does provide good service from my own experience, it's good to hear others also do.

I could be wrong, but I thought there were regulations (specifically, the Highway Traffic Act in Ontario) that specified any tint so dark as to obstruct an officers view to the interior was illegal.
