Window tinting?
Where is a good place to go in the Burlington Oakville area.
There is Superior in Oakville but I have no experience with them.
Sound image in Burlington did my last car, but I'm being more selective with the 928.
I know Krown in town does it as well, but I belive they use a third party installer.
I want top nothch film, preferably 3M.
I'm going to start making phone calls but would like any preferences or options from the community.
Thanks

Know a great place - I'm from Oakville, but I go to a guy in Mississauga - he's awesome!! He has done 6 of my cars now, including a matte blk wrap on my M3 that was incredible!
He does tint, 3m, wraps cars, etc. - great guy!! He does all the dealership cars - good work!
Check out Pure Auto - his name is Mark - give him a shout 416.894.9147 - tell him Ben or RoRo sent you...

I talked to Mark today, I may go see him next week. He did not seem to thrilled about working on an old car and possibly having to cut the film manually. He also said he mainly does new cars.
I think he is just being cautious not knowing the condition of my car.
I think I will just take the car to a few shops next week, and see who is the most confident.

Well I really don't want to get baked during the summer, black leather interior and big hatch glass = an oven.
You can keep driving around with Niagara falls leaking down your crack, I prefer to stay dry!

Too hot for me, plus I would like to protect my 27 year old interior from fading, cracking and warping.
Or maybe I'm just sweating too much!

Superior Window Film, also known as Auto-Edge, did my DD a couple of years ago using Pinnacle ceramic film, it is supposed to be one of the best technology film and I certainly didn't have any complaints with the work performed by installer Gino who has been there for a long time, in fact he is in the promo video on their website with the owner Joe. I did have to have the driver side film replaced right away due to a speck of dirt caught under the film in the middle of the viewable area.
I returned a year later to have the driver side film replaced because the film was scratched when a small part of the felt they installed had come un-glued, no issues with the rework either.
I just got a quote very recently to put Pinnacle film on my 996, it was $290, I would imagine that's likely pre-tax.
Their shop is quite spacious and clean, I think they own the building, they have one large bay that can easily put two cars to be worked on side by side, there is also a third bay totally blocked off with solid wall and a door where they spray the undercoating and rustproof so as to avoid any cross-contamination between the two bays.

You are only as old as the women you feel and lately I have been feeling about 22. I don't sweat like Eshel!

Superior is going to be my first stop, if it looks good I will likely pull the trigger. As long as they can do the hatch glass in one piece.

Superior have a good rep, but it's only as good as the fitter. Films are my business though I don't do automotive. Most shops use plotter/cutters off a program and those are limited to newish cars so you probably will get a freehand cut. That's not really a problem though with an experienced fitter. Films are IDed as tints, metallics and ceramic. Most are tints. Ceramics came about as RF has a problem with metallics. All films reject close to 100% of UV and that's important for fading. Infra-red reduction is heat reduction and requires reflectivity and IMO paramount. Shops cater to the common denominator to they'll promote to what's in stock. LLumar Imo have the best quality and closest match to the colour of the glass and would be my choice. I believe Superior carry that brand. Good luck, I'd offer my talent but frankly I suck at filming cars.

Although I'm sure this is easier said then done!! Which is why I eventually decided to hire a PPF installer rather than doing it myself when I finally found a good price/quality balance recently for PPF installation.

Went by Krown, they said multi piece, sun guard film and that they would have to remove the rear quarters. Not going to happen.
