Weird list. If I had money to buy one or several of those, the only ones I'd be interested in would be the early S, the Carrera RS or the 959. Maybe a 991. I don't really have any interest in owning a historical race car, so it's not really desirable to me. I'd sure love to take one for a spin, though.

991? Clearly the list is a marketing exercise.

I agree, putting something on the desirable list that was a race car or one off makes no sense. As those cars are pretty much unattainable any way.

Some are obvious, some less so - certainly the 991. Did I miss the CGT?...no 962?.....

I thought putting the 991 in was a bit clever, maybe even a gentle shot at some folks. Everyone always wants the latest and greatest, especially with cars, especially with Porsches. Therefore, the just-released model is among the most desired.

Yes, strange the CGT wasn't included. It's the natural order of the Carrera RS, 959 and CGT, supercars produced really only for homologation.

well.... I think they sold a lot of 'em since '98.

Plus you get a modern Porsche for pretty cheap, and it's a ragtop, and cost of operation isn't too bad.

That's why I bought one....

OT: Does anybody else hate when websites do the whole "slideshow" style lists? Just give it all to me on one page that I can scroll through!

Back on topic... CGT is at the top of my Porsche list, can't believe it was left out.

At internet advertising CPM they need all the impressions they can generate. More slides = more ads served.
