I guess calling it Crappy Tire Motorsport Park won't be too respectful eh!

I've known about it for awhile but it can be revealed now that there is going to be two pedestrian bridges over the track - one at station 7 and one between 2A and corner 3. Our club has also inherited the registration building that was on the outside of the track that has now been moved for us up towards the tree line between station 7 and the washrooms on the ridge. All of our trailers are being moved out of sight (LOL) over the ridge and down in the valley behind - opposite to the area between station 6 and 7 on the back straight (infield). At least it will be quieter now. Race teams used to fire up their motor's late at night and early in the morning yards from me on big pro weekends so that will be a good change.
The hold up on the new track registration building and the main building to be built up above the start finish is rumored to be building permit hold ups due to a local objection... (The objections won't last long as Mosport pays a lot of taxes....)

Superbikes is set for Aug 24-26th
The Region car racing dates are set as well.
The only dates not set are rental dates for cars OR bikes but that should be set by the end of this month or at the latest next month. Everything is determined by construction but as the first weekend of May has a Region race (BEMC) set - I think the track is pretty much confident that any on going construction will not affect vehicles on the track.
As far as bikes pulled for *other* events??? Not heard this. Nothing personal against bikes I would think as a rental fee is a rental fee. Wouldn't be good business IMHO. I don't know what other events some one is thinking about. Right now ALL the pro and amateur racing weekends are set for 2012. UCR has confirmed their PCA club race date. There has been an increase in fees for weekends I heard - not huge - but an increase. Perhaps some of the 'rental companies' who buy track time and then retail it out are stepping back?
81 days until racing is back at CTMP!! (Trying to get used to it!)
