Car stored for winter
Yeah life sucks
. At least I got to do lots of mods and clean the engine really well without freezing too much. My plan was to get it out in march but now I am just waiting for couple more parts to finish my mods and keep checking the weather. If the 14 day forecast into march looks good I might have it out around Feb 20.
. I wish I had it out yesterday, my rule is that its ok to have the top down if its +10 and sunny. Yesterday we hit +10 for few hours.

Just the right amount of snow and salt to keep my car in the garage...but it has been a good winter to get the little projects done, replace stone guards, change oil, refinish wheels, install wide band and new manual boost control as well as fire extingisher mount..just need a couple more hours and she will be ready for spring.
Nice,
When i got my boxster few years ago first winter I was storing the car but still had insurance, one day the battery died on my other car so I figured I would take the boxster and get a new one. I got out of my underground parking at my apt but about 100m after that there was a small hill and it just caused to car to spin the wheels like crazy I put it in reverse and returned to the garage. I got scared and vowed to never take out my RWD porsche in the winter when there is snow.
There is also the whole thing with the convertible top. If the hard top is on the the top might get all creased up after 3 months, if no hardtop the water/ice cycle might destroyed the top so it will start leaking. Don't want to take that chances.
I guess plus the little expense of getting and changing to winter tires.
