Durametric available in Ottawa
Just letting the local (Ottawa) RL community know that I picked up a Durametric Pro. I have the cables for the OBDII connector as well as the older circular connector.
Not available for loan - but if you want to bring your car around to use it at my place, feel free to PM me.

Thanks Dave. I was thinking about getting one as I have a few things to do on the cars (reprogram the air suspension to be 25mm lower, disable thorax air bags if I change my seats, side lights as blinkers, having the windows go down when opening the rear hatch, etc.....I have been making a list of items and how to reprogram them in the PWISS) and most importantly, reprogram my DRLs like othr Cdn spec vehicles as my US dealers have programmed all lights to be on!

Cool.
I am Stittsville. Great folks in Stittsville.
Please let us know what you have been able to code with it? I assume it is a lot like a VAGCOM and has some limitations.
Good on you.

I grew up in Stittsville. My parents are still there. This makes it mighty convenient for me to swing by your place!
Seriously, though, can you access the security system with that? Mine honks everytime I lock the car because the radio was replaced with a non-OEM and the car thinks the radio was stolen.

Hi All - yup Stittsville rocks.
In terms of what can be coded - suggest you go to the Durametric website - they detail a lot of the capability there. It obviously varies by vehicle what can / cannot be coded.
Of course the easiest may be to hook it up and see what works. No guarantees, your mileage may vary, you break it - you bought it ... Etc.

acadian_dad: do you know anyone that knows Porsches in Ottawa besides Mark Motors? I have been trying to find someone to work on my Cayenne since i bought it but there doesnt seem to be anyone that knows these suvs inside and out. I need someone with a PIWIS or not sure if the Durametric will do the Porsche Entry and Drive features.
