    Hi Warren,

The holder is just the original aluminum weld in the front corner of the holder itself that needs to be rewelded. Someone with a welder just needs to put a 12 inch weld to join the 2 sides (corner) together.

I will accept your $4700 conditional offer.

You can reach me at: 613 363 0184.

    Cheers

    Pat

    Pat,

Thanks for the detailed info. The reference to the cracked holder was referring to the reweld need on the gas canister holder.

I am located in Kingston Ontario, approx a 2 hr drive away. $4700 conditional offer. Want to ensure that we are aligned on price prior to driving.

    Thanks
    Warren

Forgot to say that the "cupping" occurs only on the rear axle (right side) and the "one side" inner wear is on the front axle (left side).

    Cheers

Sorry for the multiple messages. Can only send messages with no more than 1000 characters.

See this link. It has a chart showing pictures of trailer tire wear and what they mean:

Look at the one side wear which is happening on the front axle and the other axle has tire cupping.

As for the wear. I did some research this morning and now have a better idea:

One side shows "one side wear" which is said to need be a wheel alignment issue.
Other axle the tire wear is "cupping". This means that it has something to do with suspension parts (wheel bearings, bushings, springs, etc.). It says in the link below that worn components need to be adjusted or replaced.

Now with this info it might not need a new axle. I don't know which suspension parts need to be replaced or adjusted. Suspension parts are cheaper than an axle though.

Once fixed this is a great trailer. It only weights 950 lbs and easily loads lowered cars due to the height of the trailer and the long ramps.

    Cheers

    Hi William,

I knew both previous owners (in regional Porsche Club) and I was told that it was not in a wreck. Visually I never saw any sign of one either.

I'm not sure what caused it but I knowing the 1st owner was a very avid tracker and travelled a lot to various states to different tracks, I would guess that it might be due to high mileage on suspension parts.

What do you mean by cracked holders? Not sure what you mean or are talking about.

Will send a 2nd message as this one is longer than what I can send.

    Where are you locate?

    Cheers

    Hey Wabbit,

Was the trailex that you have posted in a wreck? What caused the cracked holders and misligned axles?

I would have some interest at $4700 pending driving to you for a visual on the trailer.

    Regards,
    William
