Zookie - I am sick of watching you zoom by lol..

I've looked at that 2010 GT3 listed on Kijiji - I think it's a tad over priced - but a beautiful car - if I could work the price down a little it would be a great option.

As for the other options I am definitely looking for a Gen2.
that gt3 on kijiji is a bit weird. i originally contacted the seller when he was selling a c2s. it sold and immediately he began listing that GT3. it's actually been listed over a year - and he started listing it near 150k - so in a year he has not dropped the price much.

i don't think he's interested in selling, he just has it listed looking for a sucker.

I bet they would still be under price of some of the ones in canada. Does anyone know roughtly how much import fees come to?

Depends on taxes and so on but a rough ballpark number???
Super rough, but adding 20% after the exchange rate is a good ballpark. Dollar
creeped up again to 0.98 last night..

Well not 20%... you will pay 13% of that anyways if you Buy here or U.S

Its actully about 5% but @ $.98 more like 6%

No, if you want to compare Can to US cars, add 6% to the US car and then covert it using the rate you can buy USD at, not the current FX. Then add whatever costs you will incur, like shipping, flight, hotel...etc...

You will have about 13% taxes on top of the car+duty too, but you will have those regardless of where you buy the car.

Here is the formula I was using as a ball park when shopping for my 993:

US sale price of car
+ CAD Exchange rate
+ 6.1% import tax
+5% GST
+ RIV $209
+Air tax? 100
+8% PST
-----------------------

+Etest/Safety
+Plates
+PPI
+Misc: Travel/shipping/etc

interesting, Seems like a lot of work. I guess going thru a broker really helps make it easer?

Very long process considering I worked for my money then I have to work so hard to spend it
