Trying to find out how many 1986 951's were built for Canada. The book I have says 7513 units were built for US/Canada in 1986. I would like to know Canadian units only.

I have found out that in 1987 3210 units were US bound and only 218 to Canada. This is approx. 7% so if I do the math for 1986 it works out to 525 Canadian 951's. Sound close?

Does anybody know or perhaps know where I can find this info?

Yea, I tried on that forum already. It's US based so most on that forum could care less about Canadian cars. Unless you want to buy something.

Have you tried contacting Porsche directly?

A buddy of mine used to have an '88 Turbo S.......but then he decided to changed the fuel lines himself and 10 min after starting the test drive, it caught on fire and was written off by the insurance co. At that time, the car was worth quiet a bit. He bought it less than 2 years before that for $28K CDN. This was around '98.

Looked up on Wiki. For 1986 numbers are posted for ROW and US not Canada specifically. I realize Canada is part of the ROW because most of the cars went to the US, but I am looking for Canadian numbers only.

Anyone know the best way to get a hold of Porsche for this purpose?

Maybe try the OT forum at Pelican. It gets a lot more traffic than the 944/951 forum. But I wonder what kind of stats were kept back then? There might not be a definitive answer.
