Default Any interest in a Rennlist group for the UCR Rally?

Its now on October 22 ( Saturday). Might be fun to get a few cars together to do it. Lasts about three hours on a Saturday morning.

I'm potentially interested Ronan, I'll have to do some more reading on how it works exactly. Maybe you can brief me next Saturday...

I'll be n Texas next two Saturdays, but back after that. Not complicated. You get a route map about 30 secs before you leave. It has no street names, just distances, and starts with an odometer-truing kilometre. After that there are usually five stages, all on-road some of which are usually scenic back roads. The trick is to arrive within a minute of the required time which you need to calculate, as you are given average required speed for each section. Each section is discrete, so you cannot make up time if you lose time in a section, (most people do somewhere). If you arrive early that's a bigger penalty than driving late. Lasts about three hours with a break in the middle. Its lots of fun. (you just need to make sure you do not need a pit stop outside the break, so careful with the morning coffee. Generally starts in Mississauga. People get pretty competitive but its a laugh.
My favourite moment on the last rally was two guys in a 914, They came to the red light and one jumped out and pressed the pedestrian button the change the light, then jumped back in the car
