Default WTB: 964/968 Cab

Looking for a relatively local 964 or 968 Cab w/ manual. Preferably one with low mileage that has been babied by someone that's even more **** than I am

If anyone has one or knows of one please let me know.

Keep an eye open on the 964 board as well. Also check the Pelican classifieds.

A word of caution, babied is one thing, low mileage is another. Contrary to what some may tell you, garage queens are more effort than they are worth. They sit around and atrophy. Rubber seals, gaskets etc, harden and the car leaks. The more you drive it, the better it runs. Porsches like a work out.

Buy the best car you can afford and please get a Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) from a noteworthy, independent mechanic.

Good luck.

Thanks. I saw that one but would prefer one that's known on here.

Thanks. I guess it all depends what one means by low mileage. For me, it's under 120K KM's which I think allows for a car which is driven mostly on weekends in the summer and is babied.

Ad in latest Panorama for 968 cab with 19200 miles in Vancouver for $29500. Contact is Ian Ash 604-980-7957 ianash@shaw.ca.
A pal of mine who does not listen to advice bought a supposed low mile 968 cab in FL from an indy dealer for 12 and change...now has 25 in it and it is still not right..they are expensive puppies to fix.

Wow, that's very strong money for a 968! I've seen comparable ones list for less than half that. I'd be concerned what needs to be done with such low mileage. Frankly, the only reason I'd consider a 968 over a 964 is the fact that they are way less expensive.

But they're way more rare than 964s, which means having to settle on options, colour, etc. whereas with the 964, there are literally hundreds to choose from, available immediately. Easy to DIY (huge support network compared to 968), parts are easy to get, not overly expensive. I keep saying, the 964 is the best value on the Porsche market right now.

I think you're right. Prices vary widely but there are good deals to be had.
