The previous owner of my Boxster had the soft top replaced by Innovative Auto Interiors in Markham(tel: 416-754-0061) and they did a wonderful job. No affiliation, but just in case you wanted to get a repair estimate. Good luck.

Here's and idea. If you payed for the parking, their is "a duty of care" so check with your lawyer re: this. May be worth a small claims action. They're cheap and easy and the judges always feel for we hard done by urban proleteriat......

Man I feel your pain. I can't believe some of the scumbags out there. May 13th on my birthday I left my DD ('07 Camry SE V6) in a green P lot downtown. Next morning I get to it and find my passenger front window shattered. I said to hell with this I'm not dealing with it. Went through insurance and let them take care of everything. I bought the car brand new when I was 19 (July 26th, 2006) and I have absolutely babied it since day 1, so when something like this happens it really goes right to the heart!

Anywho best of luck with everything, just wanted to share my story.

And +1 for EU to at least point you in the right direction.

On a good note, my new carpet is finally being delivered, glad the postal strike is over!!! So now I will get the carpet done at the same time.
Talked to a couple of the suggested people, they figure a full replacement canvas is the easiest way to go by the time they remove, resew, etc... it would be about the same cost. I will look a little more just in case. I wish they had went for the paint as I would like to do that some day anyway and the roof was practically new and definitely had no need for repair.
