found 3 ducks in my pool!

found 3 ducks in my pool!
came home and found 3 ducks in my pool. I was excited...my wife not so much. we have 2 daughters 2 and 6. not sure if the ducks are a good thing or bad. any opinions?

Just before I opened the pool, when the cover was still on, but it had 12" of water on it, I had a couple of Mallards stop in for a few days. They have come back a couple of times since, but have not landed in the open pool. They just walked around my deck and under the bird feeders. They certainly are bold, as they won't leave unless I get too close to them.
Meh. I've taken some nice pictures of them. Wife is worried about ducklings though.

You have nothing to be worried about. Enjoy those beautiful creatures. However, if you don't want them to hang around purchase some fake owls and place them by the edge of the pool. They probably won't come back. But make sure they don't have ducklings, you don't want the parents to abandon them.
