Neither of my insurance companies do agreed value policies. Yes, 15 yrs for those rates. They do have rates for less than 15 yrs, but much higher.

Great deal, unless you actually want to drive the car. Read the limitations very carefully and forget about driving to work, the grocery store, the golf club or anywhere else except car shows.

Coverages are for year round, so you may actually pay more for insuring the cars. RBC insures my 993 with 19A.

I'm using silver wheels. $250 per year with 19a. Read the fine print, it's not quite as restrictive as everyone thinks. I drive my car whenever I want without thinking about it.

I use silver wheels and am very happy with it. It is not as restrictive as I thought either, but it certainly isn't for DD's, and you must have proof of an insured DD. Fine for me, as mine is just a weekend toy, but for those who's P car is their sole source of transportation, it is a no go for you. Insured for agreed appraisal value. No hassles.

Thanks guys. I called them yesterday about the restrictions and it is fine for me. Weekend drives, ice cream runs, car shows, cruises and GTG's are all OK with them.

Perfect then, they must have changed their policies as I tried them right from the get go and nothing but that was 5 years ago. Glad its working out for you. Have they changed their limitations regarding parking? Restaurants, parking lots, roads etc?

Basically they want you to use it as a pleasure driver, and nothing else. I asked them what if I'm on my way home from a cruise or show or whatever and I want to stop at the grocery store to pick up something for dinner, or whatever? She said that would be fine.

The policy specifically states 16,000 km/year, no driving to work and "pleasure only". However, the policy doesn't define "pleasure", so if that was ever an issue it would be up to the adjuster, or, failing that, an arbitrator, to make that definition. A quick google search seems to basically define pleasure use as not driving it to work. So more or less, any other use is technically acceptable.

Interesting, I wonder how they would handle a claim if you got in a collision on the DVP at 8am on at Tuesday. I guess there is alot of ambiguity, how does one prove you were or were not driving to work?

Good question. I did ask the question what if I needed to drive to work (or for a meeting, etc, seeing as I work at home) and I had to drive the Porsche, because my wife has the van with the kids? She said that's fine, a once in a while thing. So, yes, lots of ambiguity, and that was an off-the-record, unofficial phone conversation. I would think in such a case that if your coworkers could back you up by saying that yes, everyday you show up in your Toyota, and maybe once a year you take the P-car, you'd be fine.

Though now that I think about it, there's no such thing as "pleasure driving" on the DVP anywhere near 8am, so you'd be screwed
