Default The Yorkville Exotic Car Show

It’s time for Toronto’s most anticipated car show of the year and you are invited to visit www.YorkvilleExotics.com and get your car nominated for the Red Carpet display at the second annual Yorkville Exotic Car Show.

On Sunday, June 19, 2011, Bloor Street will display over one hundred examples of the finest cars made by Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Jaguar and a few special guest vehicles.

Hosted by the Ontario Car Clubs for these marques, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy close up views of the cars from past to present, which are part of the history of these famous manufacturers.

Gold Sponsors of this years’ event are Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd., OnWall Solutions and Grand Touring Automobiles.

Our Paddock Club Sponsors are Avenue Collision and Programmed Insurance Brokers, who will be hosting all our car owners and their guests for breakfast and lunch in the private Paddock Club lounge on the second floor of Sassafraz during the event.

Additionally, area businesses and others will have the opportunity to sponsor any vehicle on display if it is not already sponsored. Bronze Sponsorships are $500.00 per vehicle (with the exception of a few select vehicles with higher reserves) and we encourage you to help find a sponsor for your car and have them register for sponsorship on the website.

All proceeds will go to support the Artists for Peace and Justice charity. For more information about this years’ Yorkville Exotic Car Show please visit us at www.YorkvilleExotics.com or follow us on Twitter (see the website) for the latest breaking news.

"sooo do i need a sponsor to display my car? or just register like last year?"

Just register. A sponsor would be nice because it is a charity, but not mandatory. Once again we have increased the size to about 110 cars but we'll be over-subscribed again, so hopefully everyone will be understanding if we can't register everyone who would like to participate this year.

The marques rotate each year, so there will be different manufacturers selected in 2012

Don't know if mine is "fancy" enough... but I guess what's important is the charity aspect of the event.
Looks like a great show - maybe I'll submit my car - definitely going to bring my dad down for father's day to check it out either way...

Eleven (11) professional security guards, one for each 9 - 10 cars, or one per display section. Solid white fencing protecting the rear of the vehicle and stanchions linked with white plastic chain in the front to prevent guests from walking in between cars. The pros will be supported by volunteers wearing Yorkville Exotic Car Show T's to assist with security and we may even hirer some students from the local college police and security programs if we can get them at a reasonable price.

For his/her $500, the sponsor gets to drive your car for a week Glenn. No worries though with the mileage you put on it!

If anyone knows of any "E-Type" Jags out there please let them know about the Yorkville Exotic Car Show.

It's the 50th anniversary of the E-type and it would be great to have some early models on display at the show.

Also looking for some 120's and 140's just in case you know someone!

Default Update on Yorkville Exotic Car Show

Rennlisters:

Hopefully everyone is gearing up for a great long weekend. We are one month away from the Yorkville Exotic Car Show and we are about half full with 54 cars nominated to date;

21 Porsche
19 Ferrari
7 Aston Martin
0 Jaguar
And 7 others (Lambo, Maserati, Viper, etc.)

The Ontario Jaguar Owners ***. has several events on their plate this week but will be in the game soon.

For details on all the activities planned for the event, please check out the new event brochure by clicking on the “Celebrate Bloor” poster on the home page of <http://www.YorkvilleExotics.com>

Please register for this year’s show if you haven’t already and remind your fellow car enthusiasts that we are still looking for some interesting “nominations” to fill out the field but they have to act fast as we have a hard stop at 120 display cars.

All nominations are handled through the website by clicking on any “Nominate your Car” button from any page.

Have a great long weekend and see you at the show.

I assume that the owners of the chose cars will be contacted shortly. It looks like it should be a great display.

I see my car in the list of Cars that will be showcased this year - will someone contact me to confirm the details and such - has my car been sponsored (i don't see it on the "available cars to sponsor" list)?

What's the process?
