Question Motor oil - where do you get yours?

Those of you who change their own oil, where do you shop for motor oil? I just ordered case of 12 quart AMSOIL 5w40 for $120 before taxes and shipping.

Just curious to see what you guys use and where to buy these things.

I haven't seen the M1 15w50 at my local CTC, lately. I buy a couple of jugs of it whenever it goes on sale, though, and I have enough for the summer.

Mobil 1 15W-50.

A 5 US quart jug (4.73 liters) ran me US$19 at Wal-Mart. The price usually varies from US$22 to US$24.50, depending on their cost, I guess.

I mix M1 15W-50 and M1 V Twin 20W-50. Get former on sale at CT for around $36/5 litres and latter on sale at Autosource in USA for about $7.50 - 1/2 what it is here......had no idea former was so cheap Stateside. Will buy it there too in future.

Problem is the 15W50 Mobil 1 rarely goes on sale at CT ... All their other grades go on sale every four weeks or so but not the 15W50 !

Cheers !

I pick up all of these consumables when I'm in the US so they're on hand when I need 'em and don't really even bother shopping here any more.

Waldomart in the states charges 6.30ish for a quart of 0 40. I bought all I could get when down south. CTC gets close to 12 for the same oil! I have never seen it for sale in the jugs.

Canadian Tire. Castrol 10w40 in the early spring/late fall, 20w50 in the summer. No synthetic here - don't need it draining out onto my garage floor

Is oil significantly cheaper in the states? We've started doing monthly-ish trips over to Buffalo or Niagara Falls for groceries, Costco stuff, etc.
