Default Buffalo Shipping Address

Just ordered track rubber from Tire Rack. Savings of $305 USD by having them

shipped to my friend Jason Dale @ BlackForest Motorsport in Cheektowaga,

NY instead of shipping to Toronto. (716.634.1200)

He specializes in exotics (German & Italian) sports cars. What a guy, he's

coming in on a Sunday to install them on my spare wheels while on my way to

Watkins Glen.

Tell him Stan referred you should you decide to use his services.

You do know that Tirerack has a list of recommended shops in Buffalo / Niagra Falls that they will ship the tires to, you just showup and they install for a reasonable price.

okay i have never understod the comment ' tell him Stan sent you"
no disrespect to Stan I just have wondered about that comment when people make it .

Am i to assume i get some lesser level of service if don't know Stan ?
or pay a much higher "not knowing Stan " premium ? if i go there

Or am i suppose to make sure Stan gets a better deal when he goes back because Stan sent me ?

Not Dissing you personally Stan at all but i have always found that comment quite odd...

I think in this case it would be to give "Blackforest" the heads up that a **** load of tires are going to be arriving at this shop and you can blame STAN for this

Chris - why?? Toyo. there are a lot of other really good dual purpose tires out there... the R888 has not had the best of reviews. Just wondering.

Hankook RS3 - Bridgestone RE11 ..... used by the time trial guys in street tire classes

or is this a size thing .......

Suggested that my name be used for no other reason other than being in retail myself, I always like to know how the customer found me.

Danny, went with Kumho VictoRacers V700 (rears still on b/o)

@ WGI Mon. & Tues. 6/20 & 21 with Connec. Valley PCA

Be careful coming back to Canada. You are supposed to get a permit to have any work done on a Canadian registered vehicle in the US from Canada Customs.

If no permit and they want they can charge you duty and HST/GST on the entire value of the vehicle unless it's an emergency repair. Even if the items installed are not subject to duty a German car is.

If you don't declare it at all then of course the car is subject to seizure if they want. If you pay for any services in the US with a Canadian Credit card CRA does check cross border credit card transactions from time to time so advice is to pay cash. A number of Porsche's and other vehicles have been seized out here for having work done in the US. Very expensive to get your car back.
