Plz elaborate on the motormounts. Generally speaking the biggest improvement I hear from people are ease of shifting under load.

Thanks for this honest assessment Ronan. That tread life has to come from somewhere.

I'm glad I went with PS2s again albeit this time on a 997.

Good idea Pongobaz!........the advantage of using the green car as a winter beater is that it comes with a built-in snow plough....instead of going over the snow it goes under, and shifts it out of the way. I knew the low clearance was for something

And think of the safety the bright green affords...being visible to other motorists in a snow storm is responsible and prudent;-)

That's why they pay me the big bucks! I think I should get a commission on the "Porsche everyday" campaign!

Well, Pongo..your suggestion on testing the wet handling was not bonus-worthy

Correct. I've spent a few more days at Calabogie, a tight track with many late apex corners where you are on full power at the apex and sometimes shifting while still turning....the mounts make a difference. I also had a 997 shifter plus new shift cables installed at the same time...a much improved overall experience.
Only drawback is some minor increase in mechanical noise and vibration...means nothing to me but some may care
