Apple Auto Glass in Burlington did a crappy job on a small chipp on Jennifer's SUV. I'd try the guys in the CT lots Zookie until you find one that will commit to an invisible fix...

it could be fixable. Like another poster said, bring it to CDN tire tent to have them take a look.
I heard pretty bad experience with Apple in Scarborough. Didn't realize they scratched the frame when they replace the windshield on my mazda and didn't fix it. It rusted all around the windshield frame 3 years afterwards and costed quite a bit to fix it.

Just my luck on way to work (SCB) boom! stone hits my windshiled and cracks! and then Cracks even more with the Heat. Getting it replaced tomorrow by the same guy (Speede Gonzales) who did KillPhil's cars that i recommended https://rennlist.com/forums/rennlist...pair-help.html . Infact funny enough my Passat also has a broken Windshield that my brother broke... and i was waiting for 2 weeks for the Glass to come in. So this Morning Speede called me today to let me know its in and i told him i need one for the Porsche too. Wants $750 installed for OEM Pilkington Glass for the P-Car and $260 Sekurit (Factory) for the Passat

I really was worried about changing the windshield on my 997. After reading all the horror stories about windshield replacement, I took it to my local high end body shop. I went with OEM glass. It wasn't cheap. It came out great. No creaks, no leaks, no scratches from the install. My advice to anyone is shop the installer.

Yup Saint-Gobain Sekurit is the Orginal Glass for P-Cars. I did notice that my Orginal one that was "Saint-Gobain Sekurit Made In Belgium" took a lot more of Beating than this one which i replaced Last year "Saint-Gobain Sekurit Made In Czech Republic". Also Noticed if you Press on the Glass you can see it Bend as for the Belgium one i had did not do that. This makes be think this Czech one is Thinner than the Belgium one. Just a Thought.

Never the Less im having mine replaced with "Pilkington NSG" tomorrow afternoon, Speedee is coming over to my place. Not going to bother getting the Saint-Gobain Sekurit from Dealer if im going go thru 1 a Year. Pilkington is also OEM Manufacturer.

Ok so Pedro came by to my place. He was straight up honest and said he has not done a 996 before but looked at it and said looks like a 80's VW Jetta MK2 with a Metal Frame lols. I know he is well respected and seen is work before on my friends car so i said what the hell. His partner Mario went staright to taking the Front Crowl off and knew what he was doing, dint miss anything. At the same time Pedro started to cut around the Glass and off came the Windshield. They prepped the New one and on it went and went back on all the Trim. Took about a Hour with a Conversation thru out, $700 Installed. This guy is Pro and id reccomend him to anyone!
