You should drive slower.

Sorry to hear that, Zookie. I have no knowledge personally on windshields.

Pull into the closest Canadian Tire parking lot and ask the guy, in the chip repair tent, if it's fixable. I think since it didn't crack, they might be able to fill it in with epoxy but it won't be invisible.

+1 they did my wife's Boxster. The key is not to get any dust into the pores! Put some masking tape over it asap.

Apple autoglass has been great to me. They have replaced a couple of windshields for me and I was surprised they even had a windshield in stock that fit my Audi.

Problem with Apple Autoglass is that they don't have the free fancy expresso coffees or biscotti in the waiting area.....

That's really big...I don't know if they can fix it and if they can, you'll see distortion for sure.

I managed to get a small chip in my 996 TT's windshield.
Went to Speedy Auto Glass (don't know if they are Ontario though).
Choice was to do the repair which would have been no cost to me (Insurance would pay) or pay a reduced deductible ($250) and get a brand new factory windshield. Went with new as they did say the repair would show and my damage was about 25% of yours.
