Looking to lowering the stock suspension on the 997.1 S

Coming from the VW and Audi world.....I've been toying with coilover suspensions/control arms/camber kits, etc. Now with the '05 Carrera S, what are my "recommended" options to lowering the ride height of the car.
I am not looking to "slam" the car....just reducing the wheel gap while maintaining a "comfortable/daily driver" ride (viable with stock 19" rims?).
I'm also looking into rear spacers (7mm perhaps), so front adjustable toe steering kit and adjustable rear links are also required.
Thank you all for the insight and suggestions!

Thanks buddy....just springs? I have always gone with a full suspension setup for the VW and Audis.....stasis w/ their voltex springs, eibach or H&R springs with bilstein sport shocks, etc. Are springs "enough" for P-cars?
What is your setup? I also want to minimize negative camber....eliminate the possibility of camber wear to the tires. Thanks.

I'm going 1.2inches and won't need GT3 parts but lower then that I would have to go that route as there isn't enough adjustment left in the stock suspension to maintain proper camber. Just make sure you match the same spring rate in the H&R's as you have with your stock springs.

I've got H&R only on my 997.1 C4S with 15 mm spacers in back in 7mm in front.
I'll be putting on the summers in a week or two - if you come out to the GTG one Saturday you can check it out.

+1 for H&R springs only if you are lowering for the look.
Got the H&R springs on my 996. Relatively affordable and noticeable difference in the height of the car. Even when driving it, you will feel that much closer to the ground, for a go-kart visual feel.
Ride quality: The ride quality remained unchanged (I typical notice slight changes on the car). The cracks in the road on the way home don't feel any worse. Make sure you get the right spring model (Cabs have different springs)
Camber: Unable to bring the front close to 0 after lowering the car. The closest I was able to get the front to Zero was -0.7 (on a 996) This is not an issue for me. If you are concerned about inside tire section wearing with a slightly negative camber (you should have a negative camber in the back anyway), choose directional tires that are not asymmetric, and simply flip them on the wheels + change sides (Left/Right) after a season. You will respect the rotation of the tire but have the inside out and vice-versa.
Installation time for springs fyi: 2.5 hours by an experienced mechanic + alignment time.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Shall I also invest into the front adjustable toe steering kit and adjustable rear links while the springs are being installed?.....since I'm already paying for the install?
Cheers.

@ OP No need to worry about rear toe links unless you track the car. You'll get adequate adjustment from the OE units. No need to worry about front either, you'll be fine there too.
The car will re-align to stock specs even after lowered. No need to worry too much, slap the springs on (about 5 hrs labour) and align the car (2 hrs labour). Should be able to git 'er done for about $1200.
