looks like a good deal ...but how do you get it here from Rochester? and where is it made? I hope not china. I am in the market for one. why is the warranty on the structure only 5 years? what happens if the lift fails in 6 years and crushes a car or worse a person?

As a minimum standard I would require any lift that I was considering to have ALI (American Lift Institute) certification. Are these lifts ALI certified?

Problem is, none of the home units are ALI certified. They're not listed on the site; the MD-6XP isn't.

I too am seriously thinking about the two post MaxJax. I have ceiling height issues. I will look at getting the garage floor reinforced with some kind of plate or concrete pylons. I don't know how thick the floor is. Barring that, I can get the garage floor re-poured.
