Thumbs up Good experience with Suncoast Porsche

Just got my 997SSK from Suncoast Porsche. They were easy to deal with and the product got to me in no time. Would definately use them again.

Just ordered and received some manuals from Suncoast (Jeff) and was extremely pleased with the service and delivery.

How's duty and brokage coming into Canada?
Thinking of buying a few stuffs not sure if it's better to buy from local dealer or Suncoast after the extra costs.
Thanks

Duty depends on the item. So far I've only had to pay HST on items coming in even though they aren't made in the US. Brokerage varies but my experience is that UPS is the highest ($40 on $200 item last time!), Fed Ex charged $11 on $2,500 item and when an item can be sent USPS the handling charge is only $5.

Just used them to purchase new coolent tank, had it all stock and was a better price there than anywhere else. I will use them again, as for shipping the tank was to big to ship USPS so I had it sent to a buddy of mine in Detroit.

Very nice to deal with but they will only ship with UPS and you get rapped VERY bad on duties and taxes, have ordered a couple of times from them for around 400$ and always ended up paying like 100$ on top to UPS.

So now i order from bimmerspecialist which already includes all the prices, no surprise. If suncoast would lower the price on the custom declaration, it would cost less but they won't so UPS is waiting for you. Also, they probably declare that the parts are made in Germany so an extra 6%. Basically, they are too honest, which is the problem

i think if you buy from the guys direct, instead of doing the website, they're more flexible with shipping, etc.

I buy my parts from Sonnen because they ship USPS. I have never been charged duty even on an $875 order, and on smaller stuff have not even paid HST. Shipping on my big order was a measly $27 and there was no brokerage with USPS.
