All Classes (GT1 / GT2 / GT3) will run with the same race settings ...
Damage Difficulty: Cosmetic
Collision Mode: Default
Force Off Autobrake: YES
The reasons I have decided to set the Damage at "Cosmetic" are as follows: (1) Our races are pretty long 25 - 35 laps depending on the track - which could make for a long race putting around with a severly damaged motor after Turn 1 of Lap 1 (2) Off track experiences will still cost the Racer time off track, and getting back up to speed. (3) Judging a Racer's ability will be more uniform between Classes - and decision made to move a Racer from one Class to another can be made with more accurate information.

I have reviewed all the data from the first set (only set, so far) of Ranking Data ... and this is how I see the initial Set-up for next week's race ...
GT1
GLR Red Dragon - Andy
DigitalPZ - Peter
Porsche0Monkey - Jon
GT2
pongobaz - Phil
CDN Wolf eh - Mark
StingrayAlex - Alex
Brad 08 vet - Brad
C6SUMMER - Claus
GT3
GETTREAL - Steve
WYKD1 - Lauri
I have not received data from Steve and Lauri ... that is why I have placed them in GT3 to start.
As the season progresses ... I will make adjustments to the divisions, based on actual race results ... and requests from the Racers.
If you feel that you have been placed in the wrong division to start ... PM me ... and let me know where you think you should be, and why.
If I see a large varience within the GT1 division ... then I will look at altering PI car values ... to make the races more competitive and interesting for all involved.
If I see one or two racers dominating GT2 division ... then they will be encouraged to move up to GT1 ... with a possible PI bonus.
Once I see the GT3 racers improving ... then they will be encouraged to move up to GT2.
With the point structure this year ... it is in everyone's best interest to be at the highest level ... but still within a division to have fun ... after all, that is why we are doing this, to have some fun!![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Our final race of the season will be Le Mans ... and hopefully by then we will have two strong divisions (GT1 & GT2) with a little bit of PI tweeking to make everything competitive and interesting.

Sebring Race ... Points up for Grabs!
Points are awarded for Race Finish Placement, Fastest Lap Ranking and Lowest Varience Ranking ...
So for example, if a GT1 Racer finishes 1st in their race (30 Points), has the Fastest Lap during the race (another 30 Points) and the lowest Varience Ranking [Average Lap Time - Fastest Lap Time] (another 30 Points) would equal 90 Points for that Racer ... if you have any questions about how points are awarded ... post the questions in this thread, someone else might have the same question!![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
GT1 - 3 Racers
Driver Point Range: 63 - 90 Points
GT2 - 5 Racers
Driver Point Range: 18 - 60 Points
GT3 - 2 Racers
Driver Point Range: 20 - Points
These ranges can change if we have new Racers join us next Sunday ... or if less Racers show up!

Too bad Zook as I was the only Porsche in a sea of American iron. But hey, I won the GT2 race! Took pole in the qualifying and then after the usual bumping and grinding on the first lap that sent me down to 5th, I settled in and began reeling in the 'vettes one by one. It looked like I might never catch the leader (Brad 08 vet) and would have to settle for 2nd (man those 'vettes are fast on the straights!), but he made a critical error on lap 23 of 25 and I blew past and never looked back!
So Porsche wins at Sebring in GT2!

During the final few laps of the GT2 race, some of the GT1 guys came in to watch the carnage ... I mean action ... LOL
Afterwards, we had some discussions about how we could even things up a little bit between the GT1 guys ... Andy and Paul are about 3 seconds a lap quicker than Peter, and Peter is about 3 seconds a lap faster than the top GT2 guys.
Forza 3 now has the ability to create 'Groups' - up to 4 different groups, and within each group you can set different restrictions.
So we ran a few races adjusting the overall power of the cars across 4 groups ...
Andy - GT1 - Group 1
Peter - GT1 - Group 2
Mark and Claus - GT2 - Group 3
Steve GT3 - Group 4
So we tried a couple of races ... and arrived at the following power modifications for each group ...
All cars are still R3 moded to IP 745 ... and each driver tunes their car to their liking ...
GT4 - Group 4 drivers will have full HP and Torque
GT3 - Group 3 drivers will have - 10% HP and Torque
GT2 - Group 2 drivers will have - 20% HP and Torque
GT1 - Group 1 driver will have - 30% HP and Torque
We ran a couple of races on the Sebring track ... and found that these grouping structures really brought the cars together, making for a vary competitive and fun race ... except for Steve ... for some reason he was the target for most on track collisions! ... Sorry Steve!
Driver points will remain the same for the Classes ... so as drivers improve through the season, they can move up classes, and earn more points per race.
Next week is Sedona!
Driver Classification:
GT1 - Andy, Paul & Jon
GT2 - Peter (Phil and Brad have the option of moving up to GT2)
GT3 - Phil, Brad, Mark, Claus & Alex (Steve has option of moving up to GT3)
GT4 - Steve & Lauri
Revised Point Structure:
1st - GT1 (40 Points) - GT2 (30 Points) - GT3 (20 Points) - GT4 (10 Points)
2nd - GT1 (35 Points) - GT2 (25 Points) - GT3 (15 Points) - GT4 (5 Points)
3rd - GT1 (31 Points) - GT2 (21 Points) - GT3 (11 Points) - GT4 (3 Points)
4th - GT1 (28 Points) - GT2 (18 Points) - GT3 (8 Points) - GT4 (1 Point)
5th - GT1 (26 Points) - GT2 (16 Points) - GT3 (6 Points) - GT4 (0 Points)
6th - 8th GT1 (20 Points) - GT2 (10 Points) - GT3 (1 Point) - GT4 (0 Points)

Great race today, love the setup with the different groups at different power reductions, makes for some really close racing! I also love the Sedona track...
I have a friend who isn't a Porsche or Vette guy, but may be interested in racing with us if the group is interested in some more players, if so he'd like to run the M3-GTR... and would do the Lotus qualifying and post the results. I'd estimate he's about a Group 2/3 driver, was running 1:07/1:08's (no power reduction) at Sedona. Might be interesting to have another car type in the races?
Let me know what the group thinks.
