Idea: leave an opening in the midle, and Clive will
forget about his sisours-type jack purchase.

Tip: get out of the car before using remote control to lower it.

I actually was thinking about installing one of these in my garage as the height of my garage is too low to fit two cars on a traditional four post lift.

Friends went to an open house and saw a similar (underground) lift at the house in Markham. Don't know if he is on this forum as he had one or two P-cars.

I know someone in the English Midlands, who installed something like this . . . & wishes he hadn't.

1_ Once it was jammed closed, so couldn't pull the car out for the biggest car meet of the year
2_ Also got jammed up, so his wife couldn't get her car
3_ The kicker, with the floods a few years back, his car became a submarine & had trouble with Insurance because of the storage method

I'd have it lower into my underground garage... just have to make sure you're positioned correctly before raising the lift!

if my buddies were coming over i would lift it , get in it and lower it again ... then just sit in the car until i heard my buddies were here then just pretend i was Virgil on Thunderbirds ..
You would have to have the thunderbirds theme playing while lifting the thing

The neatest garage iv'e seen was a single garage door that led to a lift and that to the underground driveway and room for 10 or more cars. The backyard had been excavated and then landscaped over as a backyard.

I am going to guess 50,000.00, including water drains deep and far enough.

The tolerances should be calculated and implemented by a real Engineer.
Same goes for Hydraulics, and they should have a back up motor.

Now that's a nice little dream... with lots of cash to spend.

Since some of us would have to ask how much, we probably can't afford it.
