Default Window shopping

I have an addiction. I love car buying experience. Since I can't buy 'em all, I just like to look around. Sometimes I find interesting cars. If you ever see something worth looking at, post a link here for everyone to see and discuss. Who knows, you might help someone find a dream car.
I'll go first.

You can't have too many cars. The problem is the size of the garage. If mine was big enough and a wad of cash rolled in my direction I'd want this in the garage. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/pic/2...rdcage_33.html

Oh and then I found this. Maybe I can pass the cup.

My next project? I discovered someone in BC has access to an original body and wisely he made a mold. He lays fibreglass when he gets an order and all told the bodywork complete will cost about 12Ks. Now to keep my eyes open for a wrecked 911, 3.0 maybe.

Jim - a 904 would be magnificent.

The body panels wouldn't be a direct bolt on though, would they? A bit of frame work would be required to get the panels to fit.

Cliff, a whole lot of work will be required, including building the tube frame. It would be fun though. Completed weight somewhere around 1400 lbs.

904 would be nice indeed. But $115K for a replica is a bit much, no?

A 904 GTS ? Can you make 2 ????
How good is the quality of the fiberglass body? I had heard that Beck took two original 904's and made molds as well. There are some horror stories out there on various body kits available for replicas from other sources. Maybe something to check out at the May 20 - 22 Carlisle Kit and import show though

I'd take a trip to BC to have a look at the parts before I moved ahead. BTW I really liked the kwickercars site. I closed my shop in Mississauga and always wanted a place I can drive into and I may have a place in Oakville. That would allow me to work on my cars. 2 - 904s, sure why not.

115ks is outrageous for a replica imo. A donor and an engine/trans refresh + the body and chassis fab will probably require an investment of $50K.
