Even more silly today, if you consider we are not experiencing the same socio economic turmoil of the late 20's/early 30's Germany. The real scare comes when he accuses a Senoir citizen of burning down a government building, then hastily recinds individual rights/freedoms as part of a state of emergency. There are many modern day examples of "stupid voters" (George Dubya 1st term, George Dubya 2nd term, Kim Campbell, etc.)
