Default 944 Track car for sale***NEW PRICE***

I am selling my 944 track car which was used in multiple lapping events in 2010, as I have purchased a second track car from the U.S. The car has done 1:44s this season at Mosport and can probably do a 1:40 with further development. It was extensively built and developed by the previous owner and has just received a new clutch at the end of the season. All maintenance and development in 2010 was done by Ian McQuillan at Hockley Autosport. The car comes with a semi-complete parts car at no extra charge, as well as an extra set of wheels (with Toyo intermediates)

1985 Porsche 944

2.7 litre NA motor by Hockley Autosport

Here are a number of items installed by PO:

-Blaszak spherical control arms
-quick disconnect Momo steering wheel
-roll cage is a fully welded in Auto Power cage
-Delrin Bushings on the rear trailing arms and Torsion Bar Tube.
-The rear torsion bars have been upgraded to 30 mm bars.
-I have also installed adjustable Camber Plates on the Front struts.
-The front struts are adjustable Turbo struts c/w 350 lb springs to
match the 30 mm rear sway bars.
-The car has a CASC Log Book
-The car has been recently aligned and is set up for Mosport
-The shifter rod has been rebuilt as has the shifter.
-Six point harness is a year old - used twice.
-Halon Fire extinguisher installed.
-Suspension is off of a Turbo car and is Late offset
-Quite a bit of the rubberized undercoating has been removed
-Brake flex lines have been replaced front and rear
-Porsche rear sway bar.
-I installed two electrical cut off switches - one in the interior and
one exterior.
-I installed brake ducts on the front rotors.
-I have a modified air intake system - kind of cool.
-Car has fibreglass bumpers front and rear GT Racing pieces
-Front bumper set up has been reworked to allow two tow eyelets and
tie down locations. New 1' steel framework installed to stock bumper
shocks.
-Car has tie down provisions installed in the rear also so that you
can trailer the car
-Car has long tube headers that are wrapped with header wrap
-Installed Cooling fan over ride switch
-Installed fuel pump over ride switch.
-Replaced rad cooling fan
-Rear wheel bearings have been replaced
-Bearings (4) have been replaced in the torque tube. It is totally
rebuilt.
-Doors have been gutted and lexan windows installed.
-Window net and attachment points has been installed.
-Sunroof hatch has been lightened considerably.
-Aluminium pedals for the brake, clutch and accelerator. It is set up
well for heel and toe
-New accelerator cable.
-Fuel filler has been modified for quick fill ups in enduro.
-Most of the brake lines have been replaced in the car
-Half shafts are out of a low mileage car and were cleaned and
repacked.
-High end Synthetic Red Line Transaxle fluid just replaced in a 87
924S transaxle - better gearing
-Front wheel bearings have been inspected and repacked with synthetic
grease.
-A/C Delete Bracket

As a low horsepower momentum car, this is ideal for developing your skills as a driver. I picked up more than 5 seconds a lap this season in the car. It is great for lapping events as I used it, or can be raced in CASC.

It doesn't look like an 85 1/2. The windshield is recessed like the early cars.

The new car is a 944 turbo; the deal isn't finalized yet so I can't say more. Unfortunately I don't have any interior pics at the moment, but will take some as soon as I get a chance.
