import questions again: compliance letter = recall clearance letter?
Drop my 993 at Canadian Tire for RIV inspections. I was told they need federal compliance letter or compliance label from manufacture. I have recall clearance letter from US dealer which accepted by RIV in order to get form 2. This 993 org. is a Canadian Car from BC and has the Canadian compliance label at door frame. What am I missing?

Since the car has lic. at the State, Canadian customs office consider it as US car. I have the paid for duties and go thought full RIV process to get it lic. in BC.
Got the car back from CT and lic with ICBC. But they're still requesting compliance label or compliance letter from Porsche. Will try to made some phone calls to dealer and PCNA tomorrow.

The Manufacturer's Compliance Label (MCL) and the Recall Clearance Letter (aka Job Management Printout) are two separate entities.
The MCL is on the driver's doorframe (includes the date of manufacture, manufacturer, statement of compliance with regulations, etc). If you have this on the doorframe you might want to question the CT dealer as to what they are actually expecting. If they balk....look elsewhere.
Let us know how it turns out.
Cheers
