Looking at importing from the USA.
Does anyone specialize in importing cars from the US. as my lease is coming due on my Audi and as far as I can see the price difference is still to big to ignore!

Anything you want. It's part of how I make my living. Porsches are my specialty, of course, because I love them. Some cars don't make sense to import - Lexus and Audi in particular (dealer has to change the speedos - $2-3000), and some are inadmissable, but in general, there's a lot of money to be saved. Off the top of my head, the biggest savings are Porsches, Corvettes and Cadillacs.

Good to know, thanks. One of my vehicles right now is a US market truck. I'd definitely go this route again. I'll keep you in mind next time we're due for a car, it would be nice to go through someone with experience to help find something a little different.

The only problem with Vipers is warranty - any remaining factory warranty will be voided on any Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep product as soon as it crosses the border. Just something to keep in mind.

Not seeing a huge difference for MDX, all things considered (duty, shipping, etc). Maybe $1000 difference? One thing to keep in mind, as well, is the excise ("green levy") tax. I'm not sure about the mdx - a quick google search shows conflicting reports. The cutoff limit is 13L/100km, average city and highway (but it's not 50/50 average, it's 55/45 city/highway. Tax starts at $1000 and ranges up to $4000 for cars that consume more than 16L/100km. If a car qualifies for the levy, then importing will almost always be more expensive. Cayennes unfortunately fall into this category - I was trying for weeks to find one in the US for the dealership, but just couldn't get a clean car at a price that made importation make sense.

Not only that, but the U.S Honda dealership from which it was purchased,
said that neither U.S. nor Canada Honda will honour the warranty after it
is registered in canada.
At least with my bmw, I could drive back to buffalo for warranty work.

Some experience here
Currently have an 01, 911, removable hard top cab with under 60k km that "appeared" in my garage yesterday from NJ. Full PPI prior and contingent on purchase. Now working the RIV paper and prepping for the CTC inspection. What are you looking for?
