Let me outline it with the help of a bulleted list!

• The paint (MAACO, according to the PO) has runs which go sideways
• The driver's door has a big dent in it
• None of the panels on the front end fit quite right, in part because the fenders are fiberglass
• Wrong headlight covers (from an NA)
• Wrong windshield (from an '83)
• VW Jetta roof-mount antenna (necessitated by the wrong windshield, apparently)
• Big cracks and sanding marks in the bondo which the rear end is made from

I had a pristine white one before this, but somehow I find this one more interesting!

Apparently UCR doesn't "recognize" the moving up of drivers from other PCA groups (AKA NNJ) so i'll start out in green and then be in yellow..

.....but I'll be in Black in no time....because I drive flat out. That's right.....that is how I drive - flat out!! HAHA

Great weekend, and it was great to meet some more Rennlist folks!

Also, the scores are in: I counted sixteen "flat-out" jokes this weekend in my immediate vicinity. Let's hope this thing is at its peak...

No problems with the car this weekend (ie. after having limped home after the last track day) ? Guess the clutch ended up being a quick fix...under warranty perhaps ?

Car was great. Was a cracked pressure plate and they come in kits with the clutch, so I got a complete new clutch out of it... under CPO. Nothing but high praise for Porsche at this point.

Dealer said they did not care about track use, in fact they sponsor it. The only thing they care about is "abuse". I.e. you do some mods and it affects something else, or you do a money shift and bend the valves, then the warranty coverage would be denied.

Only mechanical was a 996 GT3 dumped some coolant during a session. No one realized what happened at first so real lucky that no one hit anything. A couple of "code browns" however.

Yeah, the coolant on track was NOT fun. Almost spun me in turn 9, but I ended up pointed straight at the pit entrance. Probably the fastest I've ever entered the pits, but I didn't hit anything at least! That SY GT3 was a going concern all day though; no idea what he was doing in white, he should barely have made it out of IDS! I swear he was taking T2 in 2nd gear and T5 in 1st!
