2 post lift

Thanks for the input.
I'm kinda torn as to what I need/want to do. A lift in the garage would be cool. However jackstands in the past have served me well. We have a decent size 3 car garage. I believe each door is a 9' wide door.
As much as I'd like to hide out in the garage, having 5 and 7yr old kids in the house doesn't make that very likely.
The garage is big enough that it gets pretty messy. When I clear it out in the fall, I can fit my wife's CRV in the 1st bay, along with the garbage and recycling. my Jetta (daily driver, winter car) in the middle bay. I have a 2-up snowmobile on good dollies that I put up against the back wall in the 2nd bay. The 3rd bay has some shelving along the side wall, and the Boxster parked right up against it. A workbench on the backwall (which I haven't seen the top of in probably 4 yrs). A large Honda snowblower is behind the Pcar.
I built a 10x16' shed last year, and the riding mower lives there year round, along with our snowtires. It is also the winter home for my VFR800 motorcycle, a family of pedal bikes, kids outdoor toys etc.
A 2 post would be better for servicing vehicles, Brake work, flipping summer/winter tires. There is arguments on the internet against using a 2 post for storage, due to having the suspension hanging and unsprung.
A 4 post would be better for storage, handy for oil changes etc.
All I can really say, is I'm currently undecided.....

Thought about the scissor lift as well but I had the space and liked the convenience of the storage so thats the route I took, they both do the same thing to do work on the car.

just move the engine to the back
I have a similar issue as I would like to use it to store 2 cars in one space and work on the cars and flip tires etc... maybe a 4 poster with jacks built in is the answer but I hear the jacks are around $700 each
