Please advise on how to handle this without getting points .
Any referral to a traffic lawyer will be greatly appreciated
25 over the limit in a construction zone.
How much do lawyers normally charge for something like this

OK..You call the following Lawyer in Syracuse : Thomas Ryan: (his email is defender8@aol.com) He is based in Syracuse and is truly excellent. Depends on the case but it will be US$250 if its straightforward. He is a standup guy and I have used him several times. He will also tell you the likely outcome. He has always been successful for me.
Here is his website:

I got a speeding ticket in Marathon NY State..
It does not have any $ dollar amount to the fine...was curious if it was worth fighting or just sending in a guilty plea?

(1) if you have a speeding ticket without a fine it means they will fix the fine in court. You will get points transferred to Ontario if you are convicted. Translate your speed to KM and the point s wil be the same as if you were here.
(2) Chris: No question about it. I set my cruise at 124Km/h which appears to be the tolerance limit. I got nailed last year because I gassed up, merged back onto 1-90 and had not set the cruise yet. He was just after the service plaza and nailed me for 130km/h. I used a lawyer successfully. I used to use radar but they do a lot of POP radar and only pick you off at the last second. I had a Valentine, but it made me too confident. Now I just use cruise control. I drove ti NYC one time and counted 22 speed traps. God knows how many i missed.

Went through NY last month to go to Maryland and Virginia (I-87 to I-90 to I-88 to I-81S) and saw 14 or 15 troopers out and about 50% had cars pulled over. It was nuts! I am really careful to run about 70 mph and not much faster.
