Towing problem..any ideas
I am towing the car down to the Porsche Parade on Friday. Every time time I tied the damn thing down on the trailer I end up needing an alignment, so obviously there has to be a better answer. Any idea as to how to do it better. Maybe tie down from the axles?.....here is what it looks like:

Ronan,
Have you considered the straps that wrap around the wheels and tie down to the floor just fore and aft of each wheel, similar to the picture below? Since it's pulling down on the wheel rather than pulling forward, rearward or sideways on a suspension component, I suspect it probably wouldn't affect alignment...

Race Car
Whenever we load the cars in the trailer, we never do the cross-thing with the rears. Just ratcheted to the anchors in the floor, wrapped around the spokes. And not a whole ton of tension, just enough to make sure it's not going anywhere.

Yep..I will get the tie down points, but too late for this particular trip and I just arrived back from Singapore, so had little time to sort things out.

This is what I, and most of the Rennsport guys, use. We sell lots of them.
M&R 4 point auto tie down kit using ratchets with a snap hook on the end and sewn flat loops fed through the rims and cinched firmly but not too tight.
With the parking brake on and the straps the car doesn't move.
