I talked to Phil..they had some problems with estimating space, as they had to work with the fire department to get the thing approved, so they basically underestimated the number of cars they could handle within the regulation. They intend to expend it next year; I don't think there was anything political in it at all.

I never believe in conspiracies but politics is everywhere!

I have a friend in the fire department and as they say, they ended up with less space than they wanted, or originally planned, so they could not accommodate everyone.....had to do with getting emergency vehicles in if necessary. We're really talking about the picks here and it's very subjective and a no-win situation for the poor guys doing it......but political none-the-less.

I'm pretty sure Phil spent literally hours trying to calculate all the available space. He had huge CAD drawings and I think he even did drawings on a big parking lot. I'm pretty sure he's not an architect so let's give him and the organizers a break.

It's a first year event, lessons are learned and next year will be 10x times better because of that.

Agree with the above comments from Ekam. In general, the feedback was very positive. It was a chance for people to see some interesting cars for free, and there seemed to be a lot of good humour about the whole thing. As you said, I am sure they will improve it next year.
