Thumbs up Autobahn Venture Shield

With all of the crappy service around these days I thought it was worth mentioning the super job Frank Duarte's guys did on my car. I shopped around a lot and have not seen this good a job on a tuff to do, curvey, 993 front end. Wish I'd had him do the detailing too! Instead I ended up with some expensive cosmetic front end damage by some other schmuck.

2 thumbs up for Frank

Just curious, who was the schmuck and what happened?

I just had my front end re-painted two weeks ago and was thinking of getting venture shield put on. Did you do the bumper too? Could I ask a ball park on the cost. Also, what is Franks contact info?

Thanks,

Steven

You might want to wait awhile before you apply the vinyl over the fresh paint.

That's why I didn't have it done with the paint. Figured I let it cure for a while and in the meantime figure out the best place to get it done and the best material. I have been reading the 3M vs Venture Shield posts. Venture seems to be the favorite these days.

I don't have an opinion on the different suppliers. AFIK vinyl is vinyl, but best to speak to the installer as they'd be familiar with the qualities of a product. As far as the paint, it's not the putting it on as much as the pulling it off.

I much prefer the Venture Shield because it is less visible and has less of a tendency to yellow. It is apparently a pain to remove but once a decade, who cares. It's way cheaper than painting. Frank may be reached at 416-739-0001.
