[SOLD]: 1988 944 S with upgrades
Having just built a more serious car for DE with PCA, I'm selling my dual-purpose street and track 944 S. To avoid confusion, this is a true S with a Turbo body, all new Turbo brakes and 968 M030 sway bars.
The (adjustable) suspension is currently tuned to be fairly soft for the street, but can easily be made track-stiff.
1988 Porsche 944 S (16v) with substantial running gear upgrades
190,000 km
Asking $7500
The details:
* 4,000 km on new cam chain, tensioner pads, belts, j-tube
* Fresh synthetic 75w90 last spring in the transaxle
* Has run Mobil 1 synthetic for several years
* Original clutch (plenty of friction)
* Has a couple of small rust bubbles (one below the driver's side tail light, one above the driver's rear wheel arch)
* Straight body
* No oil leaks
* Near-perfect burgundy leather interior except for some very light wear to the outside driver's bolster (not through the material), perfect carpets
* Heated / 4-way power driver's seat, manual passenger seat
* A/C, defrost, power sunroof, hatch release, windows, mirrors, etc. all work correctly
* 16" aluminum wheels with Pirelli PZeros with good tread
* Full maintenance history back to 1990
Upgrades:
* Complete 951 front end (all original parts) and rear valence
* Fiberglass 924 rear bumper with Euro supports
* Fresh Koni yellow shocks front and rear (adjustable) with Weltmeister springs
* Complete 951 brake system (4 piston Brembos front and rear) with stainless braided lines, new Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors and Jurid pads front and rear (Have roughly 2,000km since the brake upgrade)
* Car currently has 968 M030 adjustable sway bars with new bushings (stock 951 sways could be substituted for a discount)
* Autothority DME chip (car is claimed to make just over 200HP at the crank)
* Alpine 9886 (USB, iPod, etc) stereo
* Harness bar (either B-pillar or C-pillar, depending on how tall you are)
* Sparco 4-point camlock harness for driver (not PCA legal, but expandable to 5- or 6-point if you use different seats)
Missing:
* Driver's side parking brake shoes
* Hose for the bumper-mounted headlight washers
* Front speakers (car has 10-speaker option door panels, and I have a lot of good audio stuff, so we can work something out)

Thanks. It's burgundy. I thought it would be horrible when I hadn't seen one, but it's quite nice in person.
I should probably point out that it does come with the door 10-speaker panels, they just aren't in place because there aren't any speakers in them currently!

Thanks, everyone. For the record, as Fergus suggested, Auto Trader's online site ended up being the winner. (autotrader.ca). It sold within three days at my asking price, to a great guy who had just sold his Formula car. It's going to be in good hands.

Soon! I have the AC deleted, but the front end is off now, and it still has no interior! My deadline for reassembly is either April 17th (PCA IDS at Mosport) or May 31 (DE at Shannonville). I had better get cracking!

Congrats on the sale Charlie, I actually had a look at your car a few weeks ago, Markus sent me pics. I ended up with an 89 S2 in Toronto. I'll be picking it up in a couple of weeks from Markus and then straight to Mosport for IDS. May see you there.

I hope I can make it to IDS (I'm still on the wait list, and I have much of my new 951 apart, but good weather is coming so I'm optimistic!).
Markus mentioned that you had something to do with Targa Nfld. Are you going to be instructing?

I get a red one.......with a couple of track goodies, 1/2 cage, seats, harnesses. I'll introduce her with pics when the paper work complete in a couple of days.
That must not have been me Markus was talking about, another PCA UCR member, and fellow NL'r , is the founder and owner of Targa NL. I did get involved with Targa last year however, did the driving school and the first two Demonstration stages........that was a blast.
Good luck with the 951....
