I've had some interesting discussions with region officials (CASC-OR) concerning 'lapping days'. The independant lapping days have affected membership and car counts in region racing. Not enough people are moving up from simply lapping to racing. A lot of this is cost - but some of it is a misunderstanding - there ARE groups who don't do side to side racing such as Solo 1, (now called Solo Sprint) and some of the classes do not require roll over cages or any mod's to your cars. They also match your car's spec's to other brands spec's.

There may be plans in place where the Solo 1 group re-start a program they had a few years back where people can have access to region racers. I thought it was a great program and cost effective - where else could you get a double F Atlantic champ in your car (for free) to help you figure out 2-2A at Mosport?
Sorry - just being a region shrill. Carry on.
