You had the sticker and the ***** still ticketed you? Wow, that's rough. My wife's been let off for having the online receipt printout, and really, it just makes sense.

Tonite while watching the Leaf Lose at St Louis Bar, i was having a talk with my friends about this topic... Then i realized that my Uncle who is a Doctor in India (Was a Thrid World Country, now its a Developing Country) has a Blue Flashing Revolving Light that he puts on his car when he is rushing to the Hospital on a Emergency... It just plugs in the Lighter Socket...
They should Have that Provided to the Docotrs here (Canada a Developed Country), So when you see a Blue Flashing Lights you Move and maybe if Cops sees you, Escorts you to the Hospital insted of Delaying you and Writing you up...
What do you think guys about the Blue Light?

Funny how Police Escorts for Funerals is fine.......as long as its Paid Duty !!!!!
One day when the COP has a Heart attack.....maybe the doctor should stop for doughnuts and a coffee.

Maybe some day this cop's mom, or son, or daughter may pass away on an operating table, 0
when another cop stops a doctor that was on his way to operate on her.
I like Zookie's idea, though.

Considering how many excuses they're heard over the years and people generally willing to lie their way out of a ticket, what do you expect.
He should have given him an escort and following him into the hospital if he chose to do so.

Should have the Flashing Green light. The same as a volunteer fireman. Supplying on call doctors with
a flashing beacon is an excellent idea. ....but....what profession would fill the void in the tax grab to compensate for their loss. We all know it won't be one of their own..............

I was thinking the same thing. Flashing green, like the voluntary fireman. After all, physicians are just as important, if not more, than a voluntary fire guy.

As far as being ticketed for invalid plate sticker, well that one was avoidable. Your tag expires on your birthday, so I get one a week before to make sure I don't get caught.
As for being charged without an insurance slip...that's a bit lame...he could have given you a "report-in" notice. Then you have 24 hrs to report into a police station to show you have a valid insurance slip. No fine unless you fail to show up.

Not sure if I agree with your opinions on this one.
Is the doctor a qualified enough driver to be driving at excess speeds?
What if one of your kids was talking the dog for a walk in this neighbourhood and this guy comes screaming through in his Mercedes.
Yust saying ......

911rod does have a good point.
None of the volunteer firefighters I know have had any special training for high speed driving to a fire/accident.
I think the flashing green light is really only to signal cars to pull over and let them by...not an invitation to drive at high speeds.

Maybe the cops should offer a service were they can drive the doctors to the hospital?
I've seen them flying by without flashing green lights. Looks like fun .....
