actually tend to agree.....(and personally believe best were 964's/993's....amazingly dependable, drives like a go cart, among the last of the hand builts)....but also tend to view porsche as a sports car icon and had to compete in the sports car marketplace therefore evolution required (but an SUV, 4 dr sedan?)
uh...the level of automation in Zuffenhausen is about the same now as it was in the 993 days. The 997.2 is still one of the most hand built sports cars on the planet. Trust me on this.
real porsches don't have a spot to add "water"...just oil and air! so on a real porsche there is no spot marked water that you could accidentally add oil to.
btw: what happened to the OP's friends oil that it needed some added?

Yeah, the new family haulers are a bit of a ??? but Porsche needs to make money and these 'mainstream' cars allow the company and the 911 to soldier on. Then they tried to buy VW.....

but niche players also work.....latterly lotus, and forever morgan
This story reminds me ... getting gas the other day, two young women continuously circling their car like they were looking for something. After pumping my gas I went over and asked if I could help - said they knew where the gas went in but couldn't find the "hole"' where they put in the w/s washer fluid
