Default Finally it fits.... winter home for the BoxsterS

My garage has been a mess, and well still is.... but finally I got everything in place where the Boxster can sleep on it's tender for the next few months, but I still have access to the daily cars - Jetta, and CRV, as well as the snowblower and snowmobile.....

Yep it all fits.

Man, that's one of the toughest battles to keep the garage in order. It just becomes a dumping ground for the family, and repository of unfinished projects.

Good work!

Thx!

Last year, I was in the middle of finishing the basement, and both our daily cars slept outside on the driveway. The Porsche didn't arrive until June 09. Really sucked to scrape in January.

Built a 10x16' shed this spring and the riding mower and the motorcycle plus the kids outdoor fairweather toys are sleeping out there this winter.

My snowblower fits behind the Porsche, and if I want to use the snowmobile, I just need to park the Jetta on the driveway and the snowmobile rolls out on dollies.

We are almost out of stroller stage, except for long shopping trips, so that should get rid of more stuff.

Ya but then the kids start learning to ride bikes and other ride-on toys.

Yeah, i've got a cover.... 2nd from the top in the Cdn Tire selection of covers.... however, car's not washed, and it's really cold, and my bottle of ONR is frozen solid - like my rink.

I am going to get a couple of cheap single air mattresses from CT and use them as airbags to protect the exposed side of the Porsche. Although there is a good 4 feet between the Jetta and Porsche.

Yeah, bikes and ride-on toys are here.... The bikes are in the shed, or hanging from the rafters, as well as Jordan's Jeep in the shed.

I didn't look at the rest of the house when we bought it 5 years ago......

I'm really lucky, it's got three 9ft wide doors, so it's got a fair bit of room between vehicles. The rafters are at about 10', so it would be a squeeze to get one of the 4 post lifts for storage. It would require some re-engineering and modifcation to the rafters to make it comfortable.

Pete, instead of using air matresses to protect the car you should PM Christien I believe he has an enclusure that he uses to protect his 911...he uses his garage in the winter as well.

I don't know how often you travel to TO but I've got a factory car cover for ya if you are looking for one. Got it from the original owner but have never used it personally.
