If anyone missed it the last time, Mobil 1 is now on sale at Canadian Tire in the 5L jugs at 34.99(20%) off. - Glenn

I checked the one at Bay and Dundas, they don't have 0w40 available. Anyone know where I can get Mobil 1 0w40 for less than $9.79/L

$9.79/L is the best price I have seen for 0w40. That is the regular price at Partsource.

Yup, that's what I paid yesterday for a couple of liters at CDN Tire.

It's not available to us in larger sizes. Most stores should have it. Ask for product no. 28-9228.

Make sure it isn't the Extended Performance version of M1. I just read a long thread on Pelican Forums and this type of M1 has been reformulated with lower ZDDP content which means less protection for your engine. There's a very good article on oil at http://www.lnengineering.com/oil.html if you're interested.

Interesting. My bottle of M1 0w40 says "European Car Formula" on it, not Extended Performance. I did not know that they sold more than one kind.

Anyone here follow some of the other forums (maybe this one too) where they say M1 isn't the greatest for the M96 engines? I'm thinking of going to Castrol Syntec 5w40 (CdnTire).
