Sorry to get you all excited. The UCR one is a 2007 with 24k but not a "S"

Not an issue if it's been tracked. Check the rotors and if there's any evidence of cracking then in all likelihood it's seen a track despite what the owner claims.
If nothing else it might help the negotiation process...

This one showed up today on autotrader
http://www.autotrader.ca/used_cars_C...ributes=photos,,

38,800 for a 2006 Cayman S , 61k km.

Not as well optioned and higher miles as the one you posted, but is the price difference 10k? Worth checking out if you like the colours.

Hoffa...good comparable. I have a friend that has access to a December 2009 Black Book..here's the numbers for the '06 Cayman S:

Low wholesale: $36,250
High wholesale: $39,500
Retail: $46,275

I think the retail number might be a bit high as I've seen about half a dozen for sale over past 6 months with an asking price well below $50k.

I hope this helps!

Hi Guys,

Thank you all for the input. I went to go see the car and here are my impressions:

The seller was a real enthusiast and straightforward guy. He spent almost two hours with me showing me everthing about the car. Long story short this is NOT some car that has been shined up at a dealer to sell or a beat example regardless of high or low miles. The car looks like new inside and out! I've bought and seen a lot of cars over the years and this one for sure is among the top. When someone cares it shows everywhere. Lease return, auction, or dealer cars always lack something as they have been whored around a bit.

For this reason I thought the asking price given the options and condition is more than fair in fact I actually thought it to be a really good buy especially given some of the other cars I've looked at.

Now for the bad news. I saw the car Friday morning and in the afternoon my work announced the cancellation of some projects that leaves everyones job kinda touchy. For this reason I'm gonna have to pass for now (damn this sucks). That said you guys have offered some excellent advice and I thank you for it. For sure if someone is looking for a real exceptional Cayman S with great options and a no BS seller then this is probably your best bet. As for price the seller is a 'little' negotiable but I figure not much at all. The car is paid for, he does not need the money, but at least had no problems in affording to baby it.

Best of luck to anyone who goes to check it out.

Just negotiate your best deal and go for it
I was trying to indicate that he's paying 911 money. I would point out the same thing if someone wanted a Vantage and they were about to pay DB9 money. Further, I don't see that big of a premium being worth the convenience of purchasing here in Canada.

I'm sure the car is excellent, but it seems on the high side that's all.

Did you see this in the for sale section?

Ship IT!

I'm selling my 2007 Cayman S in guards red over black interior. It has 17,900 miles on it and is still under the full Porsche factory warranty for another 2 years. I recently performed the big 20,000 mile service on the car at Porsche of the Main Line so you won't have to shell out any cash for another year.

The car has 18" wheels with lots of brake pad and rubber remaining. It has heated seats for the cold days and the Bose radio for really great sound. The car has never been in an accident - the VIN is WPOAB298X7U782166. The only two flaws I know of are a small scratch under the rear wing that was touched up and some road rash under the front spoiler that you have to get on your hands and knees to see.

I have the title in hand and the car is located in Lewes, DE. If you live close by and want to check it out in person, call me at 302-841-0801 or email me at nicholasbenz@yahoo.com and we'll get together. If you live far away, I welcome any and all inspections by an independent third party. Remember, it is under warranty and I had the 20k service done.

I'm asking $39,000 or best offer. Edmunds and KBB put the price at $41k for a private party sale. I know my price is fair considering all the maintenance is taken care of for the next year. Again, call, email, or PM if interested.

Sorry guys.....it's not me selling. I just iPhone cut and paste the ad. I have no affiliation to this guy.

It's a little rich but well optioned.

I think he's way high too. I don't understand why someone would be willing to pay that kind of coin especially this time of year...
