Besides, the previous owner would put a contract out on me if I did...not that he needs to twist my arm to baby her.

You need too talk to my neibourgh Paul with his '96 c4s. I'm pretty sure he washes her more than he drives her!

I drive my 997C2S as my daily driver all winter long. Great winter rubber, and keeping her clean makes her a fantastic winter car. I had a blast today in an empty parking lot

All year, every day. And when she wears out, I'll get another one. The time spent not driving a Porsche, is time you don't get back.

Hi guys,

I'm new to Renn List, while browsing (and figuring out how everything works) I was pleasantly surpriced to see so many of my fellow Canadian Porsche nuts on this thread, nice to be among you!

I too just put my Porsche away for the winter (just hours before this big storm we had) and although I know a few guys who drive there C4S during the winter I just can't get myself to expose my baby to those horrible winter conditions...I can't wait till spring!!!

Have a great Xmass guys!

Sid.

Hey Sid - check out the local PCA Club website if you don't know it. You may have missed the Christmas party this past Tuesday. www.rennsport.ca

Hi Bob, l

Thanks for the heads up fellow Montrealer!
I actually found out about it on RL yesterday, looks interesting but page for membership didn't open so send email to Person in charge of membership to get the 411.
Is this an active club, photos etc. are only as recent as '08?

BTW, it looks like you're the big dog around here nice to make your acquaintance!

Cheers,

Sid.

Ps. that's one beautiful ride you've got there!

Sid, Rennsport has been around for 25 plus years. Very active club with over 700 members. We do 6-8 track events a year, plus auto cross, monthly dinners, concours etc.

The website is just about to be changed over and as such lacks some of the usual features. The new one should be up in about a week.

Best,

That sounds really good!

I'll wait to hear back from Chris (in charge of membership I belief).

Thanks!

Sid.

Chris is on this site too as "Crazy Canuck". As far as I know, you can join PCA and Rensport on the web site right now.

Sid,

You can join Rennsport through the PCA website. That's how most people do it.
I can't process payments.

www.pca.org

I'll send you a welcome email after I get the info from PCA.

Welcome to the club!

Thanks guys,

On the last web link ( PCA main website), the membership page works, but just to give you a heads up, with the first link www.rennsport.ca (Rennsport chapter) the membership page doesn't work, you get "http 404 (not found)", if it's because you can't make payment here it's probably a good idea to put a link that takes you to the PCA membership page.

You know for other individuals like myself which are easily confused

I'll register through the main CPA site.

Thanks for the info guys!

Sid.

Drive the C4S all winter. Best car I ever drove in the snow except for the obvious clearance issue. Just put a new engine in her under warranty and I'm all hepped up again after 2 weeks in crummy rental cars.

Welcome to the Group. Probably a nice car but hard to tell without pics.
