the garage i use for work doesn't allow the card to be used to get in, if it hasn't been used to get out. the office has to reset it for this to work. granted you could just badge out without a car (or a different car)...

 

I hadnt thought about that but i suppose you could just wave it at the exit as you walk by to get the gate to go up (100% automated ie no person sits at the exit) then drive your winter car in the next day?

 

The only hiccup with that is if there is some sort of weight sensor that "double checks" that there is actually a car there when you swipe your badge to open the gate.

 

just get a ticket as if you are paying when you go in.
or drive the winter car in with ticket and swipe on way out.
I would be worried to leave the p car somewhere that anyone could get to especially for long periods of time, where they could come back at wierd hours to steal stuff, or vandalize.

 

I live downtown and work in Woobridge, so I store my car at the office in Woodbridge for 60$/month for the winter (vs. $150+ in my building downtown). One of my coworkers does the same with his 996 as well.
